Service Engineer Inspection International - English - (m/f/d)
Role Summary
Join our global Inspection team as a Service Engineer Inspection, delivering technical excellence and innovative solutions worldwide. You will provide professional support for Inspection Business equipment, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong digital and technical skills, high degree to work independently and a commitment to continuous improvement in line with Bucher Emhart Glass’ global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 70%)
Ensure consistently high customer satisfaction and uphold the strong reputation of BEG.
Supervise and perform electrical and mechanical installation, commissioning, functional testing, calibration, and repairs on customer sites following BEG service standards.
Provide on-site and remote technical support and troubleshooting for Inspection systems.
Configure and validate network systems (TCP/IP, routers, switches, remote access) for Inspection machines.
Develop and follow Health & Safety method statements and risk assessments and ensure BEG and customer H&S requirements are met.
Conduct customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety, and support training content updates at Bucher Emhart Glass training centers.
Prepare complete service documentation, including trip-, time-, and expense reports.
Provide feedback on product quality, engineering design, and customer requirements; contribute to installed equipment databases and service product improvements.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Technical degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer in international environment, ideally within glass industrial automation or inspection equipment environments.
Proven hands-on experience with electronic, mechanical, and network systems, including setup and maintenance.
Familiarity with industrial control systems, sensors, and camera-based inspection technologies.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities across multi-disciplinary systems.
Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within global teams.
IT and networking skills (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPN, remote access).
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
Competence in Microsoft Office and service reporting systems (e.g., IFS).
Strong organizational skills and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Additional Requirements
Ability to undertake extensive international and domestic travel, including occasional short-notice assignments.
Valid driver’s license and physical ability to handle and lift technical equipment.
